Las valoraciones y significados sociales en la renovación del territorio turístico: el caso de Necochea, Argentina.

Abstract
Necochea se propuso realizar una renovación turística. En este proceso los espacios materiales se transforman para reorganizar y cualificar el espacio físico – funcional, pero también se deben considerar los espacios simbólicos asociados a los significados, valores y expectativas que residentes y turistas tienen respecto al territorio.
El objetivo es examinar las ponderaciones sociales del destino para capitalizarlas en transformaciones efectivas. Para ello, desde un enfoque cualitativo, se abordan las valoraciones de los residentes y turistas del territorio, en su perspectiva: funcional y simbólica.
Respecto a los residentes, el diagnóstico realizado para el Plan Estratégico de Turismo Sustentable y una encuesta aplicada a los participantes revelaron las claves funcionales y simbólicas para la renovación. En cuanto a los turistas, el análisis de la encuesta 2014 realizada por el ENTUR reveló los aspectos funcionales y simbólicos valorados positiva y negativamente.
En los residentes el imaginario tiene una orientación cognitiva asociada a atributos tangibles; existe un fuerte apego, las expectativas turísticas son favorables, la calidad ambiental es un atributo significativo y demandan una cultura turística y ambiental. En los turistas, las imágenes se refieren a la naturaleza y tienen un contenido simbólico, donde lo vivencial y sus beneficios sensoriales esun eje central.
