Revisión de la literatura sobre niveles, dimensiones e indicadores de sostenibilidad

Resumen

El alcance central de esta investigación fue realizar un análisis crítico de los niveles, dimensiones e indicadores de sostenibilidad. Los procedimientos metodológicos utilizados abarcan la investigación cualitativa y bibliográfica. Los principales resultados indican que los niveles de sustentabilidad están relacionados con el reemplazo, o no, de capital natural con otros capitales existentes, y el nivel más adecuado en la práctica sería un promedio entre el nivel fuerte y débil de sustentabilidad. Las dimensiones de sostenibilidad del Triple Bottom Line están relacionadas con la delimitación del área de cobertura y la sostenibilidad se centra en la vitalidad de los sistemas (mantenimiento, protección y preservación). En el proceso de elaboración e identificación de indicadores de sostenibilidad, se deben observar las cualidades y características deseables, con un enfoque híbrido de arriba hacia abajo y de abajo hacia arriba. En este sentido, las concepciones de los términos de sostenibilidad son escasas y dispersas en la literatura. Esta investigación recopiló las definiciones de niveles, dimensiones e indicadores de sostenibilidad para ayudar a los investigadores y consultores en su comprensión.
